Here are some common psychological, behavioural and physical symptoms to be aware of.
Common psychological symptoms:

The Admissions Process
At Asana Lodge, we aim to provide a stress-free admissions process. We understand that this can be an overwhelming time, and hope to make it all as simple for you as possible. Alongside self-referrals, we also provide services to help families, friends and co-workers looking to get a loved one into a drug and alcohol rehab. Services include help with alcohol interventions and other substances.
First comes the initial enquiry. After calling, one of our admissions specialists will provide essential information on the drug and alcohol rehab services we provide and what treatment we offer. For this, we can speak over the phone, via email or through an online chat and you should ask as many questions as you want. The admissions team are there to ease any worries.
After that, we will carry out a free assessment to ascertain the nature of your addiction, your health, addiction history and severity, and your living and employment situation. All of this is confidential and takes roughly 30 minutes. Once that is done, we can further talk through treatment options and nail down an admission date.
At this time a deposit would need to be put down to secure a space at Asana Lodge. As a small private rehab centre our rooms get snapped up quickly.
Before you know it, your admission date will come round. Once you arrive you will be shown around, have time to unpack and settle in and sign any outstanding paperwork. Then you will have a full medical assessment to finalise your treatment plan and any medication regime.

Treatment at Asana Lodge
The treatment you receive at Asana Lodge is bespoke, considering many factors and dealing with both the physical and psychological aspects of addiction.
To rid your body of drugs and alcohol you will have to participate in a detox programme. By cutting out your intake of substances, your body will soon no longer depend on the harmful chemicals that you have been putting into your body. To ease withdrawal symptoms, medication may be administered and you will be cared for 24/7 to ensure your comfort and safety.
After detoxing you will engage in various forms of therapies. You can expect to do individual sessions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Stress Management. These therapies will be combined with group sessions and social activities to encourage socialisation and bonding with your peers.
As a forward-thinking rehab centre, we also provide well-being therapies such as low-level laser therapy, Sartori Chair Therapy and yoga to promote self-care and wellness.
If you have mental health conditions alongside addiction then Asana Lodge offers dual diagnosis treatment. In a carefully planned and managed treatment plan, you will undergo mental health treatments alongside our addiction treatment plan. This way we can ensure you are getting the highest level of care and that you leave us in a much better state than when you came.
Beyond rehab, we offer a 12-month free aftercare package to make sure you have continued support. Aftercare is an important component of relapse prevention and those that engage with it seriously are much more likely to achieve long-term recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does rehab work?
Residential rehab is one of the most effective ways to overcome your substance addiction. However, as mentioned earlier, you need to be committed to the process of recovery for it to have the necessary impact. Without being prepared to change your lifestyle and habits, you will not benefit from any form of addition treatment. Addiction treatment is based around making positive changes to your physical and mental self, so for rehab to work you need to be willing to recover and undertake the rehab treatment properly.
How long does rehab last?
Rehab treatment programmes are most commonly around 28 days long, however treatment length can vary dependant on personal needs. A stay of this length is also most likely to increase the chances of a long-term recovery. Although it can seem a little daunting to commit to such a long course of treatment away from home, the benefits of this programme cannot be understated.
How do I pick the right rehabilitation programme?
Sadly, there is no way of knowing what kind of recovery programme you will benefit best from without consulting with a medical professional. This is also why, when you reach out to Asana Lodge, our helpline staff will discuss your addiction history to gain a better insight into your needs. We are then able to tailor a treatment programme just for you. We do not believe that everyone should receive the same treatment for addiction, which is why we make sure each of our clients receives the perfect treatment plan for their needs!
