The goal is for you to get a deeper understanding of your condition, why it happened, and what you can do to prevent a relapse in the future. Our therapies can be tailored to meet your specific needs and diagnoses, helping you manage an addiction or mental health problem.
At Asana Lodge we create a space for you to experience a variety of different therapies to support your recovery. From sinking into our Satori chair, to one on one time with experienced psychologists, we demonstrate that only through a holistic approach are we able to treat the whole person, both body and mind.
As we learn about you and the condition you want to overcome, we’re able to create a personalised treatment plan combining a range of different therapies to help you heal.
Psychological Therapy
The cornerstone of your recovery will be a range of psychological therapies. Our therapies are carried out by experienced, qualified psychologists and counsellors, so you can be sure of a safe, professional environment.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, also known as CBT, is one of the most common therapies used, as it helps people in a negative cycle learn to manage their feelings.
We can also offer:
- Trauma and abuse counselling
- Satori therapy
- Stress management
- Relapse prevention sessions
- Family therapy
- Mediation therapy for disputes
- NLP
- Reflections & hope group therapy
Many of our clients have a dual diagnosis, which means they have two or more addictions or mental health issues. In these cases, we’d tailor our therapies to meet their specific needs and recommendations from doctors.
Well-being Therapy
Staying at Asana Lodge isn’t all about your mental health. We believe in a holistic approach to recovery, offering many different therapies that help you reflect and relax.
You will learn skills that you can use in the outside world, such as yoga and meditation, and may even pick up a new hobby that can be an excellent outlet when you’re feeling stressed.
Some of the well-being therapies we offer include:
- Meditation and mindfulness sessions
- Art therapy workshops
- Relaxation and sleep management
- Nutrition
- Self-help sessions
- Holistic therapy
Not only are these sessions enjoyable, but they also aim to help you relax and take care of your physical health. Having a healthy body can encourage you to stay on track with your recovery, and self-care is important to your mental health, which is why we encourage people to undertake well-being sessions in addition to more traditional therapy.
Social Activities
Speaking to other people in a similar situation can help with your own recovery, which is why we offer group therapy while you’re at Asana Lodge, which is guided by specialists and will cover lots of fascinating topics.
However, it’s also important to have some leisure time, so we offer a programme of social activities to give you some time off. Rehab can be intense, and therapy can often feel quite exhausting, that’s why it’s nice to have some time to relax and do something fun.
Some of the activities you can enjoy at Asana Lodge include:
- Walking or jogging in the countryside around Towcester
- Outings with other clients
- Quiz nights and team games
- Film nights
- Fellowship events
- Family days
You’ll no doubt develop close bonds with other clients undergoing therapy at Asana Lodge, and if you attend the aftercare sessions, you’ll have a chance to catch up and discuss your recovery.
Other Therapies and Services
Asana Lodge is always happy to accommodate your specific requirements, ensuring that you are comfortable and well looked after during your stay. These chargeable services could include:
- Hair services
- Manicures, pedicures and other beauty sessions
- Chiropody and podiatry
- Dentist appointments
- Optician appointments
We can discuss your specific needs during your admission. It’s worth noting that during the detox process, it may not be possible to undergo certain activities for health and safety reasons. You may need to get signed off by a doctor to undergo these activities during this time.
Combining Therapies
If you’ve tried different programmes in the past and not been successful, then it might be that you need a combination of therapies in order to recover.
Studies have shown that it’s often a combination of therapies that are most effective when it comes to dealing with eating disorders, addictions and mental health issues, and during your initial assessment, we’ll discuss your needs, so we can put together a tailored plan.
The amount and intensity of therapy will depend on the type of programme you’ve chosen, and our admissions teams will be happy to explain our different treatment packages.
