Admissions Process

We know that when you are considering alcohol or drug rehab, it can be difficult to know which clinic or facility is right for you. At Asana Lodge, our admissions process is streamlined and informative, helping you to make the right decision for your circumstances.

We have a team of admissions specialists who are waiting to hear from you and can advise and arrange every step of your recovery with us. We will always ensure that all your questions are answered, and that you are prepared and focused on your recovery journey.

Enquiries

When you first make an enquiry about drug and alcohol rehab at Asana Lodge, our admissions specialists will talk you through essential information about our services and what we can offer clients struggling with addiction and mental health disorders.

We are flexible and happy to speak to you over the phone, via email or through an online chat – whatever works best for you. Take this time to ask as many questions as you like. You will also be talked through the range of treatments that are available, depending on yours or your loved one’s needs.

Pre-Admissions Process

In order to better understand your drug or alcohol addiction or mental health condition, we need to carry out an assessment of your overall health. This will enable us to determine the right care and treatments options for you.

Our admissions specialists will help you to carry out your free assessment, and will ask you some simple questions about the nature of your condition/addiction, mental health issues, social and living situation, and employment situation.

This assessment is carried out over the phone in strictest confidence and will typically take 30 minutes. At the end of your assessment, our team will talk you through your treatment options and discuss a possible admission date for you to begin the recovery process.

Following your telephone assessment you will receive a full medical assessment from our Doctor once you have arrived.

Your Deposit for Treatment

Asana Lodge is one of the UK’s leading rehabilitation facilities for mental health disorders and addictions. We, therefore, have a high demand for our facilities.

To secure your place on a recovery programme with us, we will need to take a deposit payment. Once this is made, we can prepare your deluxe accommodation for your arrival. You can make this payment by electronic transfer, credit or debit card, or cash. Regrettably, we do not accept cheques.

You must be the authorised cardholder to make the payment by credit or debit card. Our deposit payments are not refundable in full.

You can change your mind on whether you’d like to go ahead with treatment before your admission date, and Asana Lodge will adhere to its refund policy in such situations.

The Process on Admissions Day

Your journey to recovery at Asana Lodge starts with your admission day. It is perfectly normal to feel nervous or apprehensive at this time.

When you are admitted, you will receive a warm welcome from our staff and a member of our support team, who will take you on a tour around the facility and grounds, showing you where everything is and how you can make the most of the amenities on offer during your stay.

You will also receive your treatment contract and other paperwork related to your health that you will be required to fill in. This will be kept safe by our medical team.

We will help you to unpack and settle into your room. Let us know if there is anything you need that would make your stay more comfortable.

During your stay you will be involved in a range of activities to aid recovery, therefore we advise that you pack the following items for convenience:

  •  Comfortable clothing and shoes for walking
  •  Nightwear and slippers
  •  Toiletries that do not contain alcohol (luxury miniature toiletries are provided on-site)
  •  Reading material such as magazines and books
  •  Pictures of family and friends and/or any home comforts
  •  Mobile phones, laptops and tablets (you will have free access to WiFi)
  •  Medications along with proof they have been prescribed by your GP
  •  A small amount of cash to purchase items of interest/sweets/treats

If you have any queries on what to pack for your stay with us, just get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

Your Post-Admissions Recovery Plan

When you are finally settled in, you will have a medical assessment take place over Zoom with our medical professionals to discuss your health and/or addictions with them. If you are being treated for a drug or alcohol addiction, we need to best understand its nature so that we can treat the root causes of it before talking through a drug or alcohol detox programme.

Once you have been given a treatment plan, your medication will be organised to ensure that your body is receiving what it needs. This will be monitored closely to make sure you are taking the right amounts.

During the first two days of your stay with us, you will work with a personal counsellor to discuss your home, social and work situations and how a recovery plan can work around this. This will be reviewed regularly to make sure that it is still relevant and working for you.

We will celebrate your progress as you achieve your goals, and will then formulate a plan for your discharge over the next 1-2 weeks, depending on how you respond to treatment.
