What To Expect From Residential Rehab
Residential rehab is considered to be the most effective form of drug and alcohol rehabilitation, since it provides distance between you and the negative influences driving your addiction.
With this distance, you’ll have a chance to clear your mind and develop healthier life choices.
Outpatient treatment options may seem like the most appealing option to start with, as you can stay in the comfort of your own home whilst attending a detox clinic or rehabilitation centre, but in our opinion, they don’t wield the best results.
At Asana Lodge, we’ll provide you with treatment programmes that’ll allow you to develop an understanding of your addiction in a safe and supportive environment and give your mind and body a chance to heal.
Upon arriving at rehab in Bury you’ll undergo an assessment, whereby our professional medical team will asses the severity of your addiction, as well as your physical and psychological health.
Our team of professionals will work with you to develop a holistic treatment plan designed to heal both mind and body.
All treatment programmes begin with detox. This part of your treatment is carried out under medical supervision, as you’ll experience withdrawal symptoms.
These withdrawal symptoms will vary, but are determined by the length and severity of your addiction. In some cases, we have treatments, such as Intravenous Brain Restoration, that can help diminish some of these symptoms.
Once your detox is completed you’ll focus on your mind. Therapy is included in every program, in particular Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT works to determine your thought patterns and help you retrain your mind to overcome negative habits and thought processes.
Most addicts will have a dual-diagnosis, meaning that they’ll be working to overcome their addiction, as well as treat their mental health. Anxiety and depression are common mental health issues that either cause or are caused by drug and alcohol addiction.
Due to this, we offer a range of therapy treatments, such as CBT, individual therapy, group sessions, stress management workshops and even art therapy.
Additional Therapy and Treatment
Rehab in Bury is not just about detoxing your body, but also about healing your mind and practising more positive life choices.
During your 28-day stay at Asana Lodge, you’ll be given the opportunity to work on developing a healthier lifestyle.
By exercising regularly, eating a balanced diet and building a peer support network you can improve your mental health and wellbeing, which in turn will help you remain positive and aid in the maintenance of your sobriety.
During your stay you’ll have access to our grounds, where you can partake in daily exercise. Alongside this, you’ll have opportunities to take part in various classes, such as art therapy and even work towards life outside the centre, with stress management workshops.
Contrary to popular belief, you’re able to leave the centre during your stay and visit the local surroundings. We encourage you to seek out positive spaces that’ll aid you in your recovery.
Next Steps
Once you’ve successfully completed your rehab in Bury we’ll provide you with a Relapse Prevention Plan. Just like your treatment program, this Relapse Prevention Plan will be tailored to suit your needs.
We understand that leaving our centre after 28 days can seem like a daunting step to take, but we’ll work with you to ensure that you feel comfortable at every step. We can help you to develop local connections, rebuild relationships and establish a work-life routine.
Peer support is a hugely powerful motivator and support system that we strongly recommend developing.
Local support groups, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, are great spaces to discuss your concerns, challenges and achievements amongst individuals that can relate to you.
You may find that returning home after rehab may not be as easy as first thought, as addiction can put a huge strain on relationships.
Sometimes families can take time to adjust to the new normal after your return, or you may need some extra support, through therapy, to work through any difficulties.
Whatever you need we’ll be here to support you every step of the way.
