Those of the Hindu faith who are struggling with addiction often find that their religious belief can help them during addiction recovery, helping them cope with challenges during recovery.

Asana Lodge is a private residential treatment centre that is open to everyone. We’ll consider your health, religious practices and dietary needs when deciding what support and therapies may help.

Hindu Addiction Recovery at Asana Lodge

Coming to Asana Lodge for Hindu addiction recovery means receiving a programme of care that’s tailored to your specific needs and beliefs.

Some of the ways we can make sure our programme works for you include:

  • Serving vegetarian or vegan meals that fit with your dietary preferences
  • Giving you space and time for prayer – whenever you need it
  • Accommodating your requirements for festival observance
  • Incorporating your faith into the rest of your recovery so it works alongside detox, therapy and keeping you on track, not against it.

We just need you to let us know what your faith looks like, and what cultural considerations are important to you – so we can work with those and make sure you get the best possible support.

Clinically Led Drug and Alcohol Rehab Treatment

Your faith can be a real source of strength and comfort as you work towards recovery. We offer a form of addiction treatment that is evidence-based, but also tailored to your personal circumstances and what works for you.

Our approach to treatment is a bespoke one and it’s aimed at treating the whole picture of addiction, rather than just treating the symptoms.

  • Medical detox – If you’re physically dependent on alcohol, benzos or other substances, stopping suddenly can be dangerous. Fortunately, our clinical team will be with you all the way, providing support every step of the way through the detox process.
  • One-to-one therapy – You can explore the reasons behind your addiction, work out some new coping strategies and talk about the things that might set you off.
  • Group therapy – You don’t have to go through this alone and it’s good for your recovery to connect with others who are going through a similar journey.
  • Psychological therapies – You can work with a professional to better understand the thought patterns and behaviours that are linked to your addiction, figure out your emotional triggers and get some real help with making some long-term changes.
  • Nutrition and physical wellbeing – We ensure nutritious meals and are happy to accommodate any dietary needs.
  • Relapse prevention – If you’ve been in the same situation before, you’ll know how important this is. We can help you work out what triggers your addiction, come up with a proper plan for dealing with high-risk situations, create a safety net and get you back on your feet with your family and in your community.
  • Aftercare – Everyone who completes their programme receives 12 months of free ongoing support.

Dual Diagnosis Programmes at Asana Lodge

Sometimes, a mental health condition can also be present in someone with addiction. Substance misuse might have started as a way to cope, or vice versa. If this is the case for you, we offer dual diagnosis treatment programmes.

Dual diagnosis treatment are programmes that treat both addiction and the mental health condition at the same time. This will involve a personalised and delicate approach to ensure all your needs are met during your time with us.

Privacy at Asana Lodge

People going through addiction have many worries. They worry about people knowing about their addiction, how their employer will react, information being shared with relatives and talking openly in therapy.

All treatment enquiries and clinical information are handled confidentially. This confidentiality might only be broken in extreme legal, clinical and safeguarding cases.

If you have any concerns, reach out to one of our admissions advisers today.
