What Addictions We Treat
Addiction is defined as something you have no control over doing and which causes you harm. You can become addicted to anything and anyone can become an addict.
Sometimes stress can trigger an addiction, and in other causes a trauma can trigger the addiction. Whatever your situation, we have centres across the UK that are setup to help treat all kinds of addiction.
We mainly treat alcohol and drug addictions, as well as mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression.
We believe that you have to treat both mind and body, which is why we’ve developed the only private rehabilitation centre that focuses on scientific, evidence-based, holistic practices.
Before you attend rehab in Yorkshire, we’ll conduct an initial assessment, whereby we’ll discuss with you your addiction, lifestyle and any challenges you’re currently facing.
Upon arrival at our centre we’ll conduct a full assessment, whereby our medical staff will develop a treatment program, with you, to help you recover from your addiction.
What Is Involved With Detox
The first step in every drug or alcohol treatment program is detox. Before you can address the causes of your addiction, or learn how to manage your cravings, you need to detox.
The aim of detox is to slowly reduce the levels of consumption until you have eliminated the substance from your body. It may seem like an easy step, but detox is far from easy.
Withdrawal symptoms will be experience by anyone attempting detox, but will be more severe with more severe addictions.
Every detox plan is carried out under strict medical supervision to ensure that withdrawal symptoms are managed and you are comfortable through the process.
At Asana Lodge, we use scientific, evidence-based treatments, which include Intravenous Brain Restoration. This treatment works by helping your cell regeneration, which in turn can help aid recovery.
Depending on the length and severity of your addiction, this treatment may be suggested to help aid you with your withdrawal symptoms.
Therapy Options
Addiction is often caused by or causes mental health problems. Anxiety and depression are very common issues faced by addicts, as addiction can be a very isolating experience.
In order to help you maintain long-term recovery, we help you to understand your addiction.
Using a range of therapy treatments, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), individual therapy and group sessions, we’ll work with you to develop an understating of your addiction, it’s triggers and how to manage your cravings.
At Asana Lodge we also offer the Satori Chair treatment, which uses vibrations, through sound frequencies, to develop a meditative state of mind, aiding in the recovery of your mind.
We believe in treating both mind and body to allow for a full recovery from addiction.
Alongside conventional therapy options, we also offer art therapy and stress management to help you find an outlet for your negative thoughts and emotions.
This treatment helps you to develop resilience for when you return to your daily life.
What Happens Next
Upon successfully completing your rehab in Yorkshire we will work with you to develop a Relapse Prevention Plan.
Leaving the rehabilitation centre to go back home may seem like a really daunting step, but we offer our services and support every step of the way.
The first 12 months of recovery are considered to be the most challenging, as yo integrate back into your life and face all those negative influences. That is why we provide you with our aftercare services for free for the first 12 months.
Peer support is considered to be a powerful motivator. We can help you develop links with local support groups in Yorkshire, through which you can develop a network of support with people that can relate to your recovery.
If you’re finding it difficult to rebuild your relationships, we can provide you with family counselling.
Sometimes readjusting to a new normal can be difficult as family members don’t know how to treat you, they may get frustrated with you, or want to wrap you in cotton wool. Either way, we can offer you guidance with your relationships.
When it comes to work, we can advise and guide you with employment options and prospects to help you rebuild your life.
