You may well have developed an addiction to drugs or alcohol.

If you have become addicted to drugs or alcohol, you must contact a drug and alcohol rehab in Guernsey as soon as possible.

Failure to do so could see your addiction escalate well beyond your control, causing you to suffer from a number of life-threatening physical and psychological illnesses.

From NHS rehabs to private rehabs and charities to support meetings, there is a wealth of support available for you to take advantage of in Guernsey.  However, attending a drug and alcohol rehab away from your hometown may well be in your best interest.

At Asana Lodge, we are on hand to provide rehabilitation treatment to those in need.  From medically induced detoxifications to traditional and non-traditional therapy, we have helped many others overcome their addictions.

Common Factors That Influence Addictions

As you begin to comprehend that an addiction is impairing your life, you may be left feeling confused at how an addiction has come to control you.

You may not be able to remember a specific time or moment that your addiction developed, nor will you be able to determine what exactly has caused your addiction to arise.

While this may leave you feeling frustrated, you are not alone.  Many others who have become addicted to substances are often unable to gauge what has caused them to develop an addiction to drugs or alcohol.

Although the factors that cause one individual to turn to substances will differ from the factors that cause another individual to do so, stress, mental health disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma and genetics often play a large role in the development of addictions.

During your time in rehab, you will be encouraged to reflect on your addiction.  With the help of recovery specialists, you will also be able to determine what has caused your addiction to arise.

In doing so, you will have the ability to develop various coping strategies that will essentially prevent you from relapsing in the future.

Drug and Alcohol Rehab Treatments

The treatments provided by drug and alcohol rehabs for addictions entirely depend on the rehab that is attended and your personal needs.

For example, at Asana Lodge, we provide each of our clients with personalised treatment programmes to ensure that they have the best chance of overcoming their addiction.

Our treatment programmes consist of detoxification, rehabilitation, psychological therapy, well-being therapy and aftercare support.  We also have a number of treatments such as our Satori Chair Therapy and NAD+ Therapy that have been created for our clients to take advantage of should they wish too.

If you would prefer to attend a drug and alcohol rehab in Guernsey, the treatment provided to you will likely differ.  This could be because NHS treatment focuses solely on counselling or could be a result of limited treatment resources.

At Asana Lodge, we are on hand to help you understand the treatment that you may require.  All you need to do is contact us, and our admissions team will provide you with the guidance you need.

Our Admissions Process

At Asana Lodge, our admissions process has been developed with you in mind.  Understanding that it can be challenging to talk about addictions, our admissions process consists of a few simple steps.

Step One – Making An Initial Enquiry

Regardless of whether you are looking for a drug and alcohol rehab in Guernsey, or would like to consider our drug and alcohol rehab, the first step in our admissions process will see you make an initial enquiry.

This will enable you to find out more about our rehab, the facilities offered and the treatment that is available for you to take advantage of.  When making an initial enquiry, you will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you have.

Step Two – Pre-Admission Assessment

The second stage of our admissions process will require you to undergo a pre-admission assessment.  These assessments are conducted over the phone and are often carried out during the enquiry stage.

While the thought of undergoing an assessment may seem daunting, please do not worry.  This assessment will simply require you to answer a few questions so that we can provide you with a better understanding of the treatment you may need to overcome your addiction.  It will also ensure that we can arrange a suitable admission date, should you wish to attend our centre.

Step Three – Paying A Deposit

If you would like to attend our rehab upon making an inquiry and completing a pre-admission assessment, you will be required to pay a deposit.  Doing so will essentially secure your place in our rehab.

Step Four – Entering Our Rehab

Having paid your deposit, the next stage of our admissions process will see you enter our rehab and settle in.  Our team will be on hand to greet you and ensure that you are comfortable and have everything you need during your stay with us.  You will be provided with a tour of the rehab and will once again have the chance to ask any questions.

Step Five – Your Medical Assessment

Once you have settled into our centre, you will be required to complete a medical assessment.  This assessment will ensure that you are fit to progress through a rehabilitation treatment programme and will also enable our medical team to assess your physical and psychological state.  In doing so, your personalised treatment programme will be created.

Step Six – Commencing Treatment

The final stage in our admissions process, as and when you are provided with your personalised treatment programme, you will be able to commence treatment.
