What Is Involved in Detox?
Detox is the first step in any treatment program and is always conducted under medical supervision. The aim of detox is to rid the body of the substance being consumed, but at a slow and safe pace.
Withdrawal symptoms are common during detox and the severity of your symptoms will depend on the length and severity of your addiction.
It might be tempting to try detoxing at home, but this can be extremely dangerous. Withdrawal symptoms can become quite extreme if the detox is undertaken too quickly or your addiction is severe. That is why we always provide medical supervision.
We offer prescription drugs or Intravenous Brain Restoration to help reduce your withdrawal symptoms. Intravenous Brain Restoration works by aiding the body’s cellular restoration, which in turn will help to subside those symptoms.
Our experienced medical team is on hand 24 hours a day to assist you through your detox. Commonly, detox lasts for a week or so, after which you’ll begin your therapy treatments.
